The Wait is Over: Dramatik Reveals What's in "La Boite Noire"

The day has come to officially launch Dramatik's first solo album titled "La Boite Noire". Part of Muzion collective (composed of Dramatik, J-Kill and Imposs who revolutionized Quebec's urban music scene), Dramatik's album is very anticipated by fans and critics alike. The prolific rappers 3 year long concoction will be launched at Cabaret Juste pour Rire.

Dramatik picked up where he left off after many years of absence on the musical front. "La Boite Noire", which will be available as of tomorrow, will significantly mark the Quebec hip hop scene with its originality, its musicality and its content.

With hard hitting and engaged texts, Dramatik delivers his view of today's society. He bestows a personal musical legacy in which he shares chunks of his difficult life (family abandonment, foster homes and more) .It also a political and engaged album that he uses as an outlet to evacuate without containment or censorship. As we listen to the 15 songs of the album, he transports the listeners in the dark folds of his soul. Throughout the lines and notes of the album, we discover the man behind the rapper, the activist through his heart.

"La Boite Noire" first single L'oubli, written by Dramatik on a DJ Manifest beat, helps us get the artist as well as the purpose of his much awaited album. This track explains the day to day reality of Montreal-North resident where he grew up.

Politically engaged and hope bearer, Dramatik created an album to his image. His use of the French language to express his views is a must listen to.
