Juvenile to release new album on July 6th!

E1 Music is happy to announce the release of Beast Mode, the new street album by hip hop superstar Juvenile. Beast Mode will be released on July 6th, 2010 on UTP/E1 Music and features the street single, “Drop That Azz.”

Juvenile comments, “The main reason for putting out this record in the summer is that it’s a summer album. I made this album for my fans, especially for my female fans out there.”

New Orleans legend Juvenile came to national prominence as a teenage member of the Hot Boy$, along with Lil Wayne, B.G. and Turk). The group’s 1997debut Get It How U Live, was followed by their platinum record Guerilla Warfare. Juvenile’s major label solo debut, “400 Degreez,” sold 4.5 million records and is universally considered one of hip hop’s classics. Juvenile’s three albums thereafter, Tha G-Code (1999), Project English (2001), and Juve The Great (2003) were each platinum plus, with the latter featuring the #1 smash single, “Slow Motion.”

After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Juvenile released Reality Check, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. The album featured the hit songs, “Way I Be Leanin’ (Feat. Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Skip, and Wacko)” and “Get Ya Hustle On/What’s Happenin’.”

Beast Mode is the follow up to Juvenile’s last album, “Cocky and Confident” which was released last year on UTP/Atlantic/E1 Music.

FOKIS STEPS BACK INTO THE SPOTLIGHT WITH A JAM PACKED SUMMER

Having stepped out of the limelight as the revered MC he established himself as, Fokis is gearing up for a summer of unbridled success with an abundance of top quality music and visuals to his credit. With a number of different projects in the works, the man who has worked along side the likes of Joell Ortiz, Ty Fyffe, Focus (Aftermath Ent.) and Olu Dara is now dedicating time to taking his brand to the next level.


It was after releasing the Appetizer project with eMC's Punchlyne that Fokis silently took some time to dedicate to the emergence of his own brand, Loyalty Digital Corp. "These past few months I have been putting in long hours structuring my company," the multi-faceted New Yorker explained. "I have been learning the ins and outs of running a successful business, being a CEO and still be able to maintain the roles of artist and producer."


This time of reflection and hard study saw Fokis partner with multi-platinum producer Ty Fyffe and together they created the recent online competition 'TY FYFFE PRESENTS RAW AND UNCUT'. "Fokis is a real professional and business man whom i have a lot of respect for..a real pleasure to work with," says Ty Fyffe. Allowing himself the opportunity to nurture talent has always been a vital component of Fokis's assault on the music industry as a CEO.


Over the next six months Fokis will be releasing a slew of projects including the second chapter of his A WALK THROUGH MYSPACE series, with the first single, MONUMENTAL becoming available early next week. He will saturate the market with video blogs to coincide with the releases of A WALK THROUGH MYSPACE VOL 2 and his solo album, FOKEEZY FOSHEEZY. He also plans to release a compilation album featuring various artists over his production.


Fokis calls upon a recognized and talented cast of industry notables to appear on his HOW TO BREAK A RECORD video blog, which accompanies the first single I'M INTO YOU off the FOKEEZY FOSHEEZY album. Through this Fokis continues to bestow a generous helping of knowledge and experience on the people that may not have the opportunity to submerse themselves in the industry.

J. Period will perform on the 6th annual Brooklyn Hip Hop
Festival
's main stage. Two-thirds of California trio Dilated Peoples,
Rakaa Iriscience and DJ Babu, will bring their West Coast stylings
to the thousands in attendance. Hip-Hop pioneer, entrepreneur and visionary,
Uncle Ralph McDaniels will again host for the fifth time. The legendary
Large Professor will be on the wheels of steel during the Show
& Prove Super Bowl
on Monday, July 5th.

Killah Priest -The 3 Day Theory

Man Bites Dog Records announced today the release of the new Killah Priest album The 3 Day Theory. This LP has been 100% produced by Kount Fif (Man Bites Dog Records) who had worked with Killah Priest in the past on the track “Gun for Gun” with Nas which was featured on the Killah Priest album The Offering.



The world was first introduced to the magnificent of force of Killah Priest on GZA’s Liquid Swords album. Making his presence known on “4th Chamber” and then stealing the show with his classic solo song “B.I.B.L.E” (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth). His impressive debut on GZA’s album was enough to gain the attention of Geffen Records who released his first album “Heavy Mental” which quickly became a fan favorite and garnered Killah Priest new found success. Priest would later go on to release several solo albums as well as work on Gravediggaz album and become a founding member of Sunz of Man.



The 3 Day Theory finds Killah Priest again in a rare form, narrating the listener through stories of the dark and light (Good and Evil) in human nature. Tracks like “Psalm of Satan” were Priest offers up two twisted verses from the Fallen Angel Lucifer’s perspective, showing the true incredible prowess of this gifted MC. Sabac Red and Ill Bill (La Coka Nostra) also contribute two very unique and potent verses to the track.



Killah Priest is always showing the audience more than one side, is able to show his impressive story telling abilities on “Priest History” which explains his involvement with Wu Tang and his eventual solo rise in the music industry. Killah Priest who also always embraces change sharpens his lyrical swords and works with punch line/ battle rap MC’s Copywrite and Jakki da Moto Mouth on “Fire Reign”. Killah Priest on this track proves that he can hold his own, even with the most creative and witty of modern day ryhmers.



The backdrop and the driving force behind Killah Priest’s renewed spirit and aggressive energy is producer Kount Fif. Blessed with an exceptional ear for sound and rhythm, Kount Fif found the perfect complements for the darker atmosphere that Killah Priest was coming from on this record. Drawing from the darker side of 70’s soul and funk, Fif was able to carefully balance hard hitting beats with touches of the finer details making this album one of the most skillfully produced Killah Priest records in this last decade. The combination of Kount Fif’s production mixed with the lyrical genius of Killah Priest is a dangerous concoction that is sure to make any avid fan or new comer a loyal listener.

AAF Names New Chief Operating Officer Constance Cannon Frazier

James Edmund Datri, President and CEO of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), today announced that Constance Cannon Frazier, currently Executive Vice President of Corporate Programming and Development, has been named Chief Operating Officer, effective August 1. Frazier will succeed Jeffry L. Perlman (current COO since November 2008), who is retiring after 19 years of service to the AAF. Her appointment makes Frazier the highest-ranking African-American woman at a national advertising trade association.



"Connie Frazier's selection as the next Chief Operating Officer of the AAF is an exciting and historic choice -- the first African-American woman to serve in that role at any national advertising trade association," said Datri. "Her strong leadership has been central in building many of the AAF's signature initiatives into the successes they are today. She was the obvious choice to fill the big shoes left by the departure of Jeffry Perlman. She is going to be a fantastic COO for the Federation."

Reporting directly to CEO Datri, Frazier will manage the AAF's day-to-day operations (financial, programmatic, and human resources), implement programs and systems to advance the organization's effectiveness, and execute the Strategic Plan developed by the CEO. She will also assist the CEO with the retention and development of corporate, professional and college chapter membership. Furthermore, she will continue leadership of the Mosaic Center and AAF's efforts to create a more inclusive advertising industry.



Since joining the AAF in 2004, Frazier's accomplishments include increasing corporate support of diversity programs, doubling the number of participants and financial support for the Most Promising Minority Students Program, launching the AAF Mosaic Career & Vendor Fairs and creating the first-ever AAF student conference.
