On Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 6:00pm, Wavaflow Studios in Los Angeles & the D.A.R.E. America program, will present Brandon Archer, an 18-year old drug-free youth from the Los Angeles area, with the opportunity to record an entire album at the state of-the art Wavaflow Studios, after submitting an essay and an original rap song with a positive message. The contest was a joint effort on behalf of D.A.R.E. and Wavaflow Studios to encourage youths to remain drug free and pursue positive goals in music and the arts.
“Throughout my life, I’ve been known as "B. Arch" and with that name I’ve strived to not become a statistic. Some rappers glamorize money, cars, clothes and degrading women, but my main focus is to encourage greatness in everyone from all walks of life. In today’s world, my generation has stopped dreaming and I feel like my job is to get them to dream again. I want to be able to touch lives and if not change negative ways, be able to get through to listeners.”
These heartfelt words were part of the essay written by “B. Arch,” the aspiring young rapper who touched a chord with prolific Brazilian producer Wagner Fulco, owner of Wavaflow Studios. The well adjusted teen, although met with the same adversities as most young and underprivileged kids in and around Los Angeles, stepped up to the D.A.R.E challenge and is committed to making a change in his community by being a role model and remaining drug free. Personally understanding how hard it is to make your own way in this world while staying on the right path, producer extraordinaire Wagner Fulco willingly donated the use of his specially-renovated facility (home of the late, famed Brazilian singer/actress Carmen Miranda), as well as his services to help “B. Arch” produce a full album in his recording studios. It was important for Fulco to partner with an organization like D.A.R.E. because they are committed to showing young people that having a clear mind and clear objectives is the most effective course for achieving success, as he’s proven with his own arduous climb to success.
The contest was a search for a Los Angeles area youth (under 25), who is aspiring to have a career in the music business as an artist, but they also had to live a drug-free life. The ceremony, in which Brandon Archer will be presented with a certificate from the Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of D.A.R.E, Frank Pegueros, will also include a tour of the facilities, and will take place at Wavaflow Studios, (address provided upon request) on Wednesday August 5, 2009 at 6pm. That is where Brandon will begin work on his first full length album which he hopes will inspire the masses.

ABOUT WAGNER FULCO - He is an accomplished instrumentalist/composer/producer/engineer. He opened WavaFlow Studios in LA in 2006 after renovating the former mansion of the late Brazilian singer/actress, Carmen Miranda and creating an amazing pre & post-production facility for musical recording as well as film/TV editing (www.wavaflow.com). Fulco recently started his own band called Machinery Kid, with former “Hearts” member on the drums and Jesse Johnson, son of Don Johnson, on vocals.
