I'm Looking For.....
I'm in search of people who find ways to get things done when told there is no way. I'm in search for people who are not gonna stand for bullshit but is respectful when faced with it. I'm in search of those persons, who like me, are willing to sacrifice for what they TRULY believe in and have no qualms to get further than they've ever been. I'm in search of the individuals who are being held back by others because of their insecurities.
I need people who know that if given the proper forum and with the right guidance, they will not only achieve, but will surpass, even their own expectation! I need the type who sees things others don't see and knows how to make others see what they see. I need long term thinkers who are not thinking short term because they know that they will be here as long as they want! I need others who can see visions and are willing to make those visions realities.
I want people who would do what they do and be the best at it but love it so much, they would do it for free but smart enough to know when not to. I want those who knows that the opportunities that are rare, they are up for taking advantage of them. I want people that stare adversity in the face and laughs at all that is thrown at them and ready to win whatever battles are ahead. I want individuals who, even when they lose, knows that in the long run, it's to help them eventually win.
I'd like to work with people who will not let another bring their spirit down and can get up when things aren't perfect. I'd like to work with people who think just like me, that I CAN'T and WON'T be stopped by no one other than myself! I'd like to work with strong people who know when to be weak, which enhances your strength. I'd like to work with people who KNOW that life is full of contradictions but understand or willing to learn that those contradictions become assets when used properly! If you fit any or all of these descriptions, then I'd like to work with you!

Street Mos Entertainment in conjunction with Joe Black and Black Card Entertainment, will bring the Street Dreams Concert to the National Black Theatre of Harlem on April 24th, 2010.
Feature appearances include Sheek Louch, DJ Thoro of Shady 45 and G-Unit Radio, M. Reck of Forbez Dvd, Big Skeem, Trilogy, Sinsay, Spud Brooklyn, Catalyst – and many more are poised to grace this red carpet gathering with their skillz. The event will be streaming live at streetsmosd.com with host, First Lady Godiva.
The mission of Street Mos is the same as its always been: “We support artists, who are sincere about growing their careers, and Street Mos is sincere about growing the hip-hop lifestyle,” says Nat Nelson, C.E.O of Streets Mos Entertainment.
Streets Mos Magazine [subsidiary of SM Ent.] has been quiet over the past year, but on April 24th their silence ends. Nelson says of the hiatus, “We have been planning our next move. We continue to be an entertainment magnet, and we keep the brand strong by fostering our partnerships and relationships throughout the country.”
As with any publication, Streets Mos Magazine remains to be a work in progress. While the Internet continues to change the print world forever, Nelson is holding firm to his belief in the the power that a nationally-distributed publication, such as his magazine, can bring to artists and hip-hop as a whole. He refuses to fold like many of his magazine’s predecessors, e.g. Scratch and KING. However, Nelson has given his brand a web presence with Streetsmosdigital.com and says, “The industry is changing and it’s important for anyone, who wants to keep up with the industry to evolve with the changes.”
Street Mos – born in Harlem – returns to Harlem, annually, to showcase the hottest talent in the streets and provide opportunities for artist exposure. Their showcases have catapulted many notables to the forefront; Maino, Nicki Minaj, French Montana, Lexx911 are a few examples of artists, who got their first looks from Street Mos. Their showcases will continue to break new talent.
Nelson says, “Just know, we in the streets, the most.”

The Legendary MR.Kane/Kokane To Release New Solo LP Gimmie All Mine On 6-1-2010
When discussing the West Coast’s most legendary and influential Hip-Hop artists, the talk often turns to a common theme; NWA, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Snoop Dogg, Too Short, etc, and Kokane has worked with them all (including co-writing NWA’s “Appetite For Destruction” and providing the crooning found on Dr. Dre’s epic masterpiece The Chronic 2001) and while Kokane’s impact on the West Coast Music scene maybe understated—its also undeniable. From his roots with Above The Law, to his solo-deal with Eazy E’s Ruthless Records (where he released two solo-LP’s), being signed to Snoop Dogg’s Dogghouse Records and subsequent collaborations with Hip-Hop’s most talented and top-selling artists including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg (he was predominantly featured on Tha Last Meal), 50 cent, Jadakiss, Xzibit, Young Buck, Spice 1, Too Short, NWA, Ice Cube, Bootsy Collins, George Clinton and countless other appearances has resulted in Kokane’s being the most featured artist in the world and his voice being included on over 35-million record sales over the course of his long and storied career.
With his seventh solo-LP, Gimme All Mine, (in-stores June 1st, 2010) Kokane aims to get his due respect and he does so by delivering a project that will appeal to every Hip-Hop fan of all regions. Though he made his name with unforgettable guest appearances, aside from an essential re-union track (“Lay You Down”) with his Above The Law family, Kokane rejected the feature heavy trend that is so prevalent in today’s Hip-Hop industry on Gimmie All Mine in favor of the merits of his own voice. Tracks such as the explosive single “Twilight Zone” (which is already creating a heavy viral presence on the Internet and will be available on iTunes on 4-20-10)), “Made A Difference” (a modern day “Today Was A Good Day”) and the Gangsta Gospel “Killing Fields” all include a discernible West Coast vibe, while tracks like the bouncy “Rollin Up On Hoez” contains the energy that southern rap fans admire so much.
Kokane’s Gimmie All Mine will be available at all retailers and online outlets on 6-1-2010 and will be released by Kane’s own Bud E Boy Label in conjunction with Bonzi and Fontana Distribution.

Scarface, The Godfather of the South, Returns With Dopeman Music, Due May 4th
With a career that started in the 90's, the former Geto Boy has worked with everyone from 2-Pac to Jay-Z to Miri Ben-Ari and has gained unmatched respect amongst his peers, as he has been dubbed The Godfather of the South. Dopeman Music is due out May 4th on Scarface’s own Facemob Music label, distributed by Deep Distribution Worldwide.
Scarface shed some light on the new album in a video piece, posted recently on MTV.com.
"I feel that I need to move on to another stage with the way I deliver my music to the public. I got a lot of sh*! and I'm using about 3 percent of what I know about music. I'm not using it all. I'm music. I can play that sh*! long enough for a real musician to catch it and feel me, where I'm going, and we make magic like that."
NEW INDEPENT FEATURE FILM COMPUTER LOVE SET TO PREMIERE IN PHILADELPHIA
Produced by a an award-winning collective of Philadelphia bred filmmakers and directed by city native and Temple University alumnus, Mike Pender, Computer Love tells the story of a heart-broken author’s (Kwe Reid) wild, and at times scary, foray into the world of internet dating. While looking for love and affection, Kwe encounters a motley crew of female companions and ends up finding a lot more than he had bargained for. The film was shot entirely on location in Philadelphia and stars emerging area actors Atif Lanier (Kwe), Lee Mekhai and Nicole L. Tucker.
Computer Love’s creators feel that the film’s subject matter is not only entertaining, but couldn’t be more timely. Pender says, “Because people are so busy these days, online dating isn’t just a trend anymore. Online Dating Magazine reported that more than 20 million Americans visit at least one online dating service once a month. Dating websites spent over $400 million dollars on advertising last year and there are millions of users on MySpace and Facebook every day, so I feel that our film is extremely relevant right now.”
Following the Philadelphia premiere, Computer Love will be showing at various theaters across the country and be featured at several major upcoming film festivals. It will also be available on DVD.
The Computer Love World Premiere is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM and tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance at www.ComputerLovetheMovie.com or at the door.

"BlackBook" Gives Minorities Edge In Job Search and Biz Growth
James Parker, Founder of the Chicago-based tech start-up is quick to point out that Blackbook is in no way comparing itself to Facebook. "We did not design Blackbook to be an alternative for minorities to other sites. But we did design the site to be used as a tool to truly network with each other, find and support minority and women-owned businesses, and potentially find employment." GoBlackbook.com is the first social networking site with a "classified app" and "section" that's free to use and search. "It's very easy to set up," says Valerie Battiest-Danzy, Soul Purpose entrepreneur, Chanel Ballard, Marketing Manager for H.A.S. Magazine, and Nicole Jones, owner of Sensual Steps Shoes. Each say they have already seen success by creating a business profile page and using the classified app to promote their businesses and services.
Professionals and college students can use the Professional Information" section when creating their profile to list their career objectives, skills, education, and more. Think LinkedIn, but not as complicated. "Most social networking sites only allow you to list your contact and personal information. We added this section so that a user's skills stand out on its own." And with Blackbook already in talks with Fortune 500 companies interested in using the site to find minority professionals and college graduates, Blackbook can soon be the number one site for employers to find the sharpest employees and job hunters looking for employment.
There is much excitement about GoBlackbook.org coming later this Fall. It will serve as the social conscience and awareness' arm of the site to provide scholarships for students interested in the field of technology and angel investments for minority and women-owned tech start-ups. "Our goal is to set aside 5% of Blackbook's revenue to help get more minorities in the tech industry. Now someone setting up a profile page on Blackbook can help send the next Mark Dean or Mae Jemison to school. So if you have a Facebook page, we'd love for you to have a Blackbook page too," Parker jokes. Keeping with his belief, African-American owned web development firm, Incite Graphics was recruited to create Blackbook.
SOUL LEGEND SOLOMON BURKE TO RELEASE 70TH BIRTHDAY MILESTONE ALBUM "NOTHING'S IMPOSSIBLE" (APRIL 6)
NOTHING’S IMPOSSIBLE was 35-years in the making, with "King" Burke finally arriving at Mitchell’s storied Royal Studio in Memphis, trademark Throne and all, for five weeks . Mitchell’s blueprint and spirit canvas these musical stories, in a partnership that stands proudly with the classics he produced with Al Green, Ann Peebles, and others for the immortal Hi Records imprint. Something spiritual and beyond a mere recording session has manifested.
Comments Burke: “If I could turn back the hands of time, I would freeze frame every second of it. It hurts so much to know I won’t get that chance again…You know when God’s in it, because everything works. No matter how hard you try for it not to work; it works. It was the last great shot (with Mitchell)…”
NOTHING’S IMPOSSIBLE is a musical conversation between two brothers, one minute teasing, the next sharing intimate war stories on the battlefield of love. Background vocals and Mitchell’s legendary orchestra subtly enhance and embellish twelve classic tracks of pure heart and soul.
The project’s title “Nothing’s Impossible,” was not only Mitchell’s intended CD title, but also Burke’s personal mantra. At nearly 70 years of age, he remains musically active and relevant, while continuing to resonate with a widening demographic, both nationally and internationally. To date, Burke has sold more than 17 million records. His soul standard “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” has been covered by everyone from the Rolling Stones to Wilson Pickett to the Blues Brothers. His 2002 GRAMMY for “Best Contemporary Blues Album” (Don’t Give Up On Me) has introduced his genius to a whole new generation, while one of his best known hits “Cry To Me,” was used in the seduction scene of the major motion picture “Dirty Dancing.” His biggest fan, however, was the late Pope John Paul II, who invited Burke to perform at the Vatican’s Christmas celebration in 2000, that he organized with the present Pope Benedict XVI.
Burke first broke through in 1961 with a cover of the country standard “Just Out Of Reach Of My Two Empty Arms” that was a hit on the R&B and Pop charts. He released 32 singles on Atlantic over the next several years, producing six Top Ten R&B hits, four of which crossed over to the Top 40: “Just Out Of Reach (Of My Two Empty Arms),” “Cry To Me,” “Got To Get You Off Of My Mind,” “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love,” “You’re Good For Me,” “Tonight’s The Night” and “If You Need Me” (written by Wilson Pickett).
Burke has long been championed by his peers, music critics and celebrity fans. Ahmet Ertegun called him “probably the greatest soul singer” while Mick Jagger openly admitted trying to imitate the phrasing of Burke’s inimitable voice, and contemporaries such as Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty have performed his songs in concert. Now, with the release of the magnificent NOTHING'S IMPOSSIBLE, audiences can once again hear why they call Solomon Burke, the "King" of Rock & Soul.

G. Visuals delivers Grand Visuals for Dondria and Waka Flocka Flame Videos
This month was busy for the fledging production company, which also shot the remix video for Atlantic Records’ new artist, Waka Flocka Flame’s, “O Let’s Do It,” featuring Diddy, Rick Ross and Fabolous. This project reunited Waka with G., who also directed the original version which stayed on BET’s “106 and Park” countdown for over a month. “We got the call like 3 am on a Saturday morning and we shot on the following Monday. ‘We shoot Diddy on Monday’ is what my producer tells to me. It was game time. This is what you’re in it for, moments like this. Diddy wanted the vibe of the first video so he wanted to work with us,” reflects G.
This year got off to a quick start for G.Visuals, who celebrated the end of 2009 with a video landing on BET’s “Notarized” top 100 music video countdown. “Swag Surfin’” by F.L.Y. placed #30 on the annual end of the year countdown. The video for Waka Flocka’s “O Let's Do It” hit the number #1 spot twice on BET’s 106and Park. Raekwon the Chef “Only Built for Cuban Links II” gave hip-hop a classic album and G. Visuals’ collaboration provided classic imagery. “Working on the Rae (Raekwon) project is something I’m very proud of. The Chef said he saw things in me that he saw in Hype and Chris Robinson when he worked with them early in their career,” recalls G.
To date, G.Visuals and the 60 Frames production team have shot music videos for Raekwon, Ludacris, Mike Epps, The Dream, Big Bank Black, Playaz Circle, Lil Scrappy, Bobby Valentino, Gorilla Zoe, Case, Ms. Brown, Huey, in addition to Dondria, Waka Flocka Flame and many more artists.
