LYFE JENNINGS #1
Jesus Swings and Asylum/Warner Bros. is pleased to announce that platinum recording artist, songwriter and entrepreneur, LYFE JENNINGS', new single, "HATERS," is the number one (#1) most added single at radio on three (3) Nielsen BDS & Mediabase charts: Urban Overall, Urban AC and Urban Mainstream. Lyfe is set to release his fourth (4th) album SOONER OR LATER on his new label, Jesus Swings with Asylum/Warner Bros. on September 22, 2009
The mid-tempo groove "HATERS" chronicles the actions of well, a hater. Here Lyfe doesn't deal with "hater" nonsense. He keeps to himself because he believes that when you give them too much that's when the hate comes in. However, when hate does seep in and reaches an all time high it must be squashed.
LYFE tells us that his new CD, SOONER OR LATER, "is about relationships. How we try to hold on sometimes for the sake of holding on. But, in reality no matter how many breakups turn into make-ups, sooner or later we realize that this person is who they are and we need to let go. No grudges, no regrets. Just realization. Just acceptance. Just life."
SOONER OR LATER, is the first release to come out on Lyfe's new label Jesus Swings. He notes: "I am happy to be working with Asylum/Warner Bros. to introduce Jesus Swings. It's a new found independence for me and it's rewarding to get to call the shots. It takes a real man to accept living and dying by his thoughts, and rising and falling by his dreams."
LYFE JENNINGS, a native of Toledo, Ohio, transformed the music world in 2004 after the release of his critically acclaimed debut Lyfe 268-192. Hailed as gritty and raw, the album created devoted fans everywhere and sold over a million copies.
LYFE captured an even broader audience in 2006 with his sophomore effort, The Phoenix, which expanded on his life story, taking listeners through different phases of a man. The album featured the smash hit, "S-E-X," a cautionary tale for young women from a male perspective. He went on to release Lyfe Changes in 2008.
NY Times writer Jon Caramanica says of Lyfe:
Only in the hands of Mr. Jennings would these largely unapologetic odes to the street life constitute uplift. A socially minded R&B singer, he is an anomaly. But over three albums (including his second release, "The Phoenix," which went gold), he has cultivated a loyal following outside the mainstream. With shades of Donny Hathaway and Al Green, he is both gruff and vulnerable, hardened and naïve.
LYFE's SOONER OR LATER offers more of the real life stories that he loves to weave. When Lyfe gives you his music he truly gives you a piece of himself. A video for "HATERS" will be coming soon.

Queen Ifrica Montego Bay album
..daring and straight-forward lyrics of a lady sing-jay Ventrice Morgan or Queen Ifrica as she's poignantly called, has taken the reggae world by storm since last year with "Below the Waist" and the controversial "Daddy," a lyrical protest to incest.”
-San Diego Union Tribune
“Watching reggae's newest female star, Queen Ifrica, liven up a crowd sends a jolt through the body and spirit... the songs appeal to one's higher sense while at the same time making you want to jump, dance, and shout like you're at a church revival...”
-Broward-Palm Beach New Times
QUEEN IFRICA, HAILED AS REGGAE’S FYAH MAMA,
BREAKS NEW GROUND WITH HER TRAIL-BLAZING SOUND
ON HER UPCOMING VP RECORDS ALBUM DEBUT
MONTEGO BAY AVAILABLE ON JUNE 16, 2009
The poised yet audacious singer/songwriter Queen Ifrica unveils her highly anticipated LP Montego Bay on June 16, 2009. Her strikingly complex Rastafarian voice achieves a rarefied balance on this 13 song selection with a stirring mix of spiritually empowering anthems, lover’s rock tunes and searing social commentaries featured on this dynamic debut for VP Records.
The dancehall styled title track addresses her hometown of Montego Bay’s glaring discrepancy between its pristine five star resorts verses the grim realities of a city wracked by poverty, violence and unemployment.
Her uplifting first single “Lioness on The Rise” (produced by Donovan Germaine) exudes her courageous and fierce nature at heart, then she displays her romantic side over a mesmeric one-drop beat on the rapturously sung hit “Far Away” (produced by Rickman Warren) and on “In My Dreams” (produced by C. Hurst), where her quixotic husky tone is reminiscent of the iconic song stylist Nina Simone.
She also tells a poignant tale of child molestation on “Daddy” (produced by Kemar McGregor) which has already received worldwide recognition and reached the top of reggae charts, even though certain sectors within Jamaican society attempted to get the song banned because of “Daddy’s” subject matter. “I wanted corporate Jamaica to realize that if a society is engulfed by violence we have to look at the homes where these violent tendencies are coming from,” remarks Ifrica.
“Montego Bay exposes the many sides on Queen Ifrica. She is traditionally a deejay, so we will highlight her raw fyah burn style on songs “Coconut Shell” and “Yad the East”, her heartrending sensational side on tunes like “Daddy” and her strong independence on tracks like “Lioness On Rise”, states VP Records A&R Neil Diamond.
Queen Ifrica born Ventrice Morgan, began her career in 1995 after shining at a local talent contest in her hometown of Montego Bay, Jamaica. This eye-opening experience eventually led to major stage performances in her country including the esteemed Reggae Sumfest as well as a union with Tony Rebel’s Flames Crew in 1998. With roots firmly secured in the Rastafarian faith, she blossomed as one of the top cultural artists in reggae swarming the airwaves with hits like “Randy”, “Jus my Brethren”, “Below the Waist” and “Daddy” and stealing the stages at major festivals and shows around the world (Summer Jam in Germany, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Bob Marley Festival, Reggae on the River in California and Reggae Sundance Festival in Holland). Despite her hectic schedule, Ifrica is involved in several youth outreach programs in Jamaica’s inner-city counseling abuse victims and other disadvantaged individuals. She also performs at various charity events shows where proceeds are donated to the cause.

Universal Republic Newcomer K'Jon Hits #1 At Urban AC Radio
Universal Republic newcomer K'Jon has scored the #1 single at Urban AC Radio this week with his smash hit "On The Ocean." The sizzling song, which originally ignited the Chicago clubs for months as a popular 'steppers' hit, is also the #1 Greatest Gainer at both the Mediabase and BDS charts.
K'Jon has drawn comparisons to repeat hit makers such as Ne-Yo and Robin Thicke, and is currently putting the finishing touches on his much anticipated album, I GET AROUND, scheduled to hit stores and online platforms August 4, 2009.

BRIAN COURTNEY WILSON's "JUST LOVE" CD Debuts at #2 on Billboard Top Gospel Album Charts
Spirit Rising/Music World Entertainment artist BRIAN COURTNEY WILSON has received "just love" from fans, radio and media outlets for the release of his first-ever CD, JUST LOVE which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Current Gospel Albums Chart and #6 on Billboard Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart this week. Wilson was joined by supporters, including Music World Entertainment President and CEO Mathew Knowles, in celebrating the release of JUST LOVE at a launch event at the House of Deréon in Houston on June 2, which included a live performance set by Wilson.
"All I Need," the first single released from the 10-track disc, is receiving great support at gospel radio. Written and produced by GRAMMY®, Dove and Stellar Award nominated Stan 'STANtastic' Jones, "All I Need" moved up again to #16 with "Most Increased Spins (+82) this week on the Billboard Gospel Singles chart. The second single, "Already Here" is also moving up the charts and is on the "Most Added List."
Wilson will perform for three days─July 3, 4 and 5─at the ESSENCE Music Festival's Experience Stage at the Convention Center in New Orleans from 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. CT. Also at the Convention Center, Wilson will do meet and greets and sign autographs on all three days at Music World Entertainment's booth (#402). In addition, he will also be attending other events during the ESSENCE Music Festival weekend.
JUST LOVE is receiving rave reviews from press. In a review of the CD, ChristianityToday.com exclaims, "Roll out the red carpet. It's not every day that music industry mogul and famed father Mathew Knowles (Beyonce, Trinitee 5:7) hand selects a new artist for his label's tight-knit roster. But after hearing singer/songwriter Brian Courtney Wilson's smooth grooves and smokey vocal chops, Knowles signed him on the spot. Marrying slick R&B with inspirational messages and straight-up church soul sangin', the singer/songwriter makes a noticeable mark for a newcomer...With a wide appeal and high profile backing, Wilson could be gospel music's next big thing."
Gospel Music Channel continues the praise in their review of JUST LOVE. "Once again, Music World Entertainment is flexing their gospel music muscle with debut artist Brian Courtney Wilson's Just Love," states contributing editor Monica Watkins. "Don't let your ears be fooled; it's not the O'Jays singing on track one, the title track of the CD. But Just Love reveals a bit of Wilson's personality, musical influences and his history, as he sings of his appreciation for his church in Houston, Texas...Just Love is certainly a satisfying debut."
On BET.com's "The Gospel According to Torrence," the no-holds-bar blogger admits to being hesitant in listening to the CD when first received but changing his tune once he hears Wilson's music. "Finally I put it on my iPod, and decided that if I was meant to hear it that it would come on when I put my playlist on shuffle. And guess what, it did! The track "Waiting To Turn" came on while I was walking down the street to my office and it stopped me in my tracks. The man was singing, hear me? He kind of reminds me of John P. Kee's solo stuff from back in the day, which I actually miss a lot, but at the same time, he has his own thing going on."
During the month of June and throughout the summer, Wilson will continue on a national promotional tour that will include stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Richmond, Norfolk, Baltimore, Raleigh, Virginia Beach, Jackson, as well as Washington, DC.

PLEASURE P IS READY FOR HIS "INTRODUCTION"
Swagga Entertainment/Atlantic recording artist Pleasure P has announced the release of his hugely anticipated debut album, “THE INTRODUCTION OF MARCUS COOPER.” The collection – which features the hit singles “Boyfriend #2” and “Did You Wrong” – arrives in stores and at all digital retailers today, June 9th.
“Boyfriend #2” was a #1 Urban radio hit earlier this spring, while also scoring significant airplay at Rhythmic outlets nationwide. The single comes in this week at #7 on Billboard’s “Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay” chart. In addition, the “Boyfriend #2” companion video clip is blowing up everywhere, with major rotation at MTV, MTV Jams, MTV Hits, and VH1 Soul. “Boyfriend #2” also reached the #2 spot on BET’s 106 & Park, where Pleasure is slated to perform live today, Tuesday, June 9th (check local listings).
The success of “Boyfriend #2” follows Pleasure P’s smash debut single, “Did You Wrong,” which lit up the Rhythmic charts last fall. The track’s accompanying video – which can be viewed at Pleasure P’s official website, www.pleasurepmusic.com -- proved a blockbuster introduction for the Miami-based singer, reaching the top 5 on BET’s 106 & Park countdown.
“Under,” the next single from “THE INTRODUCTION OF MARCUS COOPER,” is set to impact this week at Urban radio outlets coast to coast. A companion video – directed by Erik White (Diddy, T.I., Chris Brown) – is currently in post-production and will have its world premiere on Pleasure’s popular MySpace page – located at www.myspace.com/pleasurepmyspace – later this month.
Pleasure P – who first attracted international attention as a member of Bluestar/Atlantic recording group Pretty Ricky – heralded the release of “THE INTRODUCTION OF MARCUS COOPER” with a rapturously received live
appearance at this weekend’s Hot 97 Summer Jam 2009 at New Jersey’s Giants Stadium. “The New Bad-Boy of R&B” has also been featured in a wide array of publications and online outlets, including XXL, Sister 2 Sister, Black Men, Vibe, Hip Hop Weekly, DJBooth.net, ConcreteLoop.com, and UrbanStreetz.com.

Cool & Dre Officially Launch Rate Your Demo!
Miami Based chart-topping super producing duo Marcello “Cool” Valenzano and Andre “Dre” Lyon also know as Cool & Dre have officially launched their new site WWW.RATEYOURDEMO.COM .
RateYourDemo.com offers aspiring artists, producers, and songwriters a chance to have their music reviewed by REAL players in the music industry such as Grammy nominated Cool & Dre and other music producers, A&R’s and music professionals from both major and independent labels. The sites offers artists a chance to submit tracks, beats and lyrics for REAL industry professionals to not only review, but possibly obtain song and track placement on future albums as well as potentially landing a record deal.
Because A&R executives rarely have time to find talent the site serves as a way for artists to receive constructive criticism from the Grammy nominated duo and actually have a chance of being discovered. The review site has already had 3,000 submissions and has helped the duo discover neo R&B artist New Time Soul who they plan to work with. The site will soon be converted to a full fledge social network site. The site, which is free to join, also now offers forums and blogs on the hottest topics in the industry and the ability to private message other members in the community.
In other Cool & Dre news, the super duo have completed 10 tracks on Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated rock album titled “Rebirth.” Cool & Dre have also produced Interscope recording artist Wale’s hot single “Chillin”featuring Lady Gaga . Cool & Dre were recently in the studio with Queen Latifah who has hired the super duo exclusively to oversee and produce all the tracks for her upcoming album “Persona” set for release on July 7th, 2009. This will be Latifah’s first hip hop album in 10 years! Other projects in the works include production on Justin Timberlake’s new hip hop/rock group called Free Sol signed to Timberlake’s Tennman Records, Amarie’s new album “Break Ups and Make Ups and Lloyd’s upcoming album (titled TBD). Cool & Dre also recently completed the remix for Fall Out Boys’ hit song “America’s Sweetheart” and tracks on Birdman’s new album including the single, “Get it.” Their Epidemic Music imprint is also gearing up for the release of the debut album of hip-hop artist C-ride who is featured on Cash Money artist 2 Pistols single titled “Lights Low 2” produced by Cool & Dre.
Lastly, expanding into the world of movies and lending their talents to producing scores and soundtracks, Cool & Dre have wrapped up production on “Walk The Dinosaur” performed by Queen Latifah which will be featured on 20th Century Fox’s film “Ice Age 3” set for release on July 4, 2009 in which Latifah co-stars as well. Cool and Dre have also been hired exclusively to score Queen Latifah’s next film titled “Just Wright” and serve as music supervisors for the film. “Just Wright” is a romantic comedy currently in pre-production and to be released on Fox Searchlight.
Cool & Dre create original music that crosses a variety of musical genres and that merge the lines that divide pop culture. This is evident when you look at the stellar list of artists that Cool & Dre have worked with which include Linkin Park, Lil Wayne, Gym Class Heroes, The Game, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Wale, Freeway, Darryl Hall, and Duffy to name a few. Cool & Dre have been instrumental in bringing to the masses such classic # 1 hits as “New York” by Ja Rule and “Hate it or Love It” by 50 Cent and The Game for which they were nominated for a Grammy award. Most recently they were also nominated in the prestigious Album of The Year category for their work with Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” and in the Best Rap Album Category for their work on Nas’ “Nas” album.
Aside from their musical skills, these entrepreneurs also keep busy with their clothing line named DIRTY ROYALTY – www.dirtyroyalty.com . The line is sold at major retailers in Miami (Shoe Gallery), Atlanta (Walters) and New York (Zevo).
